Two weeks ago we published a blog called, “Cinemills LEDZ Getting Eight Superspots Ready for Tony Nako” In the photo, Malcolm Mills posing with the lights.
Cinemills LEDZ commitment to the advancement of LED technology is extended once more as we premiere the LEDZ SUPERSPOT, the brightest and most robust LED fixture that meets all of the standards and needs of the world’s most demanding gaffers and DPs. The LEDZ SUPERSPOT is the first in a premiere line of sharp, powerful circular beam producers. With a throw that easily exceeds 40 feet, the SUPERSPOT is comparable to current 575w HMI fixtures, including the 5500k color temperature whilst only drawing a single amp.
The LEDZ SUPERSPOT is extremely robust with an all aluminum housing and yoke system with junior mounting pin. It has a slim profile so can be used in a multiple of lighting setups utilizing minimal space. The fixture produces no sound and very minimal heat, making it studio friendly. There are two built in dimmers on the fixture which allow for 100% – 0 output control with minimal color shift. The LEDZ SUPERSPOT comes complete with a switchable power supply unit 110v -240v AC, extension cable with on/off switch. There are additional accessories available including the LEDZ Speedframe, Chimera, filter frame, DMX capabilities and 12v battery options for mobile applications.

Creating Fun and Alternative Uses With the LEDZ Brute 3
Here are some recent fun pictures sent to us from one of our product users. Originally, the LEDZ Brute 3 was used on-board the DSLR, for video, as additional lighting to cover live event. The event was for L.A. Beard and Mustache Competition 2012, held at The Belasco Theater, in DTLA.
Creating an alternative use, the user switched from video to photography, and used the light to help manipulate the mood of the image. Requesting the subject to hold the light and shine it on to his or her face, created a sort-of-monster-lighting.
The BRUTE 3 is the latest addition to the LEDZ product line, it is a versatile, lightweight, powerful light that can be used in many different applications. With a color temp of 5500k and a full range spectrum, unmatched by our competitors, it has a circular beam, and a much longer range than other similar LED lighting solutions. Legendary Sports Broadcaster, Jim Hill of KCAL-9 and CBS 2, Lit by LEDZ

David Brinkley, From Hilltop Sports Satellite Network, Finds New Cost Effective Solutions With LEDZ Lighting
Producer/Director David Brinkley, from Hilltop Sports Satellite Network, recently stopped by the Cinemills LEDZ booth, in NAB Show 2012, Las Vegas. He took some time to speak with the team and shared some stories and accomplishments with the LEDZ lighting fixtures.
He shared with us cost effective and Eco-friendly solutions they gained with the LEDZ. He described the issue they were in, a few years back, with an outdated electrical problem at their facility. Instead of paying x-amount dollars upgrading the whole electrical, to accommodate the older types of lighting, they ventured into the LED for new solutions. He mentioned saving thousands of dollars by investing with the Brute series.
David also mentioned he has been using the lights for almost every project they have, even the most challenging locations such as caves. Having the flexibility of transporting these lights, just about anywhere, they were not limited to in-house power.

On November 15th 1999, the staff of WKYU-PBS unveiled the only satellite uplink truck owned by a Kentucky university. This in itself was extraordinary but in the mind of Producer/Director David Brinkley, it was simply the final piece of a puzzle. Once again standing apart from the crowd, David and the others at WKYU-PBS sought out to create a student-run sports network devoted to Western Kentucky University Athletics.
